Chosen, Dave Ramsey, and sports

Well our lives have been busy. SO BUSY- not time to take pics! Sorry Tara! When people tell you that when you get older you just get busier, that is so true.

For the last few weeks I've been working with Whitney and Christi Tyner on the Chosen high school girls ministry from Olive. Well. the "Pace" class. This has been great for me. I have always wanted to teach high school just because I really enjoyed that time of my life. These girls are great, they have such a thirst for God and they just want to learn! Please pray that this goes well and the girls learn alot.

Brandon and I started a class on Sunday afternoons call FPU, Financial Peace University. It's so great, Dave Ramsey uses his life experiences of getting out of debt, building wealth, and retiring with dignity to teach others. We are taking the class at Pine Terrace Baptist Church in Milton. It's a 13 week class, so a big commitment! We are learning so much. It so awesome once you get your finances together how you can give more to ministry and furthering God's kingdom. Not to mention, retire, something I thought our generation couldn't do!! Brandon and I like it so much, we are most likely going to teach the class next spring.

College Football, MLB Playoffs, NFL, Pace High! Our weekends have been consumed with Sports lately! Every Friday night we've been going to the Pace games. My parents have season tickets and that is so fun. Not to mention, my buds in the Press Box that I visit every time I come back. So nice to have a "home." I remember going to the games as an elementary school student. MEMORIES, and WOW time flies. Every Saturday we invite whoever wants to come over to watch some college football. WAR EAGLE!!!! My tigers lost last week, but thats okay. I'm still a fan! Brandon's so happy that Ole Miss is actually winning ;) jk honey.

We are wanting to go camping one of these weekends. Hoping to give you an update on that and some pics of our adventure!

Until next time!

Krista and Brandon

Hello Mrs. Lady!

Hello All! I have been lacking in the posting department, please forgive me. We've been busy busy bees.

Last Friday we had the Harrod's over for dinner, and it was so nice to have them. We ate steak! yum yum. Then we had alot of Olive friends over to play Mafia, which was fun. I wasn't in the Mafia the whole night!

Saturday was rainy and we kept waiting for the bottom to drop out but it never did. So we headed to Pensacola and had tacos with Sarah & Ryan- a ritual we are trying to start. Oh! And we also watched American Gangster, yikes.
Sunday we overslept and missed church, and when we finally woke up, I made some pancakes and bacon, YUMMY and we watched Perfect Stranger with Bruce Willis and Halle Berry. Wow, a great movie, a little twisted with that guy from The other sister, but good nonetheless. Then we went to my parents and hung out for awhile, went into Pensacola and bought up Bed Bath and Beyond and went home and had a nice dinner, just the two of us.

This week has been fun Brandon accepted a new job at NWFHG, where I worked before SG. As an EKG tech and all around diagnostic testing assistant. I think he's really excited since he will be working from 8-4:30 and no weekends! :) Not to mention it's a step in the direction of healthcare which is his love.

I am going to be working with the high school girls on a Bible study called Chosen this semeseter. Whitney and Christy are working with the girls in Pace and Mrs. Sturgeon is doing the Pensacola girls. EXCITING :)

My aunt Marla is in town for her high school reunion so we went to Bonefish last night. I had never been there, it was sooo good. That bang bang shrimp, yummy!!! I just realized I talk ALOT about food.

Well until next time,
xo,
krista

Hey look out for that moving van!

Hi all my wonderful readers!

Brandon and I are closing on our house on Thursday...TOMORROW! I'm so excited, we will be moving in this weekend!

We have had some hiccups along the way.. but that's okay! I have rented a U-HAUL Truck for this Saturday at 8 AM. I have experienced God's blessings and His ability to wrap His arms around me in the last few weeks. Amazing how He takes my fears, worries, and throws them so far away. I love Him for it.

Please pray that all our furniture comes in, and that we love it. And that we can finally get a TV for Brandon since we do have NFL Sunday Ticket this fall. (and this fall only since we are new to Direct TV) Let's just say we are so happy to finally start our lives in our house. Not to say the Value Place hasn't been good to us... :)Next weekend, my good friend Jessica Lindsey is getting married to Matt Barnes! I'm excited to be one of her bridesmaids and have another good friend be married and live in Pensacola. Then on August 16 Charity and Jonathan Butler are getting married, I am so jealous of her! She doesn't have to change her name!

Well... until next time. I will talk to you all after I move in!!!

krista

WOWSER!

Hello All! Long time no talk! Sorry, we've been busy!

Weekend Update: 4th of July! Brandon and I were both off for the 4th and although we were supposed to lay our wood floors, that didn't happen, we got to have a fun weekend together. Friday we mainly spent our day looking at furniture for the house. We don't have any living room or bedroom furniture so that's what we were out for. We were hoping for some Independence Day Sales!

We fell in love with a living room from Home Place in Pensacola. See our entertainment center below:
We are hoping to put our wood floors in this week, get the trim up, get the sprinkler system installed, throw some sod and move in by July 26! We will see...

If we do move in by the 26th, then I owe my dad a new pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses for his birthday. haha

On Saturday the 5th, I got my haircut, and we shopped for some more furniture in Milton and found our bedroom suite at Badcock's. We then had a cookout at my parents house, swam in the pool, and watched Charlie Bartlett. Which was interesting....

Our week was fairly busy, with work, softball games, Crossroads, work, cleaning the house, work, best buy, etc...

Weekend Update:
On Friday Brandon and I had to attend a mortgage class in order to get a mortgage from our lender. It was mostly boring, with some interesting times. We ate lunch at New York Nick's downtown so that was fun. We went to Tuscan Oven for dinner and saw Wall-E . We didn't like Wall-E all that much... just FYI.

Saturday we worked at our house trying to get it ready to put the wood floors in. We are so excited to get done and moved in! We will definitely be having a party once that happens. Saturday night an old coworker of mine was getting married so we went to her wedding at the NAS Officer's Club. It was really fun a very interesting wedding/reception...bad dj...whew.

Sunday we went to Church and then did laundry, made homemade pizzas and funnel cakes at Brandon's parents. Then we over to Matt and Elizabeth's parents house for their "Bon Voyage" party. We are really going to miss our movies, dinner (mainly Tuscan Oven towards the end there) and just plain hang out buddies. We wish you guys the best in Texas!

Well until next time... have a great day!

xoxo,
Krista (and Brandon)

Moving in with the husband...

Well, I've lived with my parents since... forever. I just moved somewhat into an extended stay hotel with Brandon this past Saturday. Things are going well. We have some of our stuff there, not too much, as to overcrowd. We think that this will make us appreciate our house EVEN more than before. Plus, it gives us a nice story. :)

I am sad to report that our very good friends Matt and Elizabeth are moving to Houston, Texas. A great opportunity for them to move on with their lives away from Pensacola. Brandon and I were so excited that Matt found a job he wanted and then we both looked at each other and said wait, we have no friends!! But, we are happy for them, and are excited to visit the Houston area to see them.

Well I think I have two readers from this blog, and they have both already seen these pictures. But, I'm going to post them for the off chance that someone else looks! A couple of pics from Tara's blog from the wedding. This one is from our rehearsal! We were so excited! (brandon was a little mad at me for not communicating with him throughout my bachelorette party!!) But, he got over it when I smiled! haha jk.

This one is from the Church on the BIG DAY!!

I will be uploading some pics from the honeymoon. We had a great time parasailing, driving boats, eating out, laying by the pool and beach. So relaxing!!

More to come,
krista henry

It's almost here!

So, alot of our friends are married and we got jealous and decided to do it too! just kidding... It's going to be so awesome!

I know its not ALL good ALL the time. But hey- i love him and that's the greatest feeling in the world. As a little girl, I never thought I would get married so young. But, I mean Brandon was just the complete package for me. God has blessed us in so many ways!

Speaking of blessing, here is a pic of our house being built. It is supposed to be ready sometime in August. We are going to be living in an extended stay hotel until it's complete! I will keep you updated on the changes with it.

WE ARE GETTING MARRIED THIS WEEKEND!!!! WAHOOO.

Mrs. Henry... i gotta start learning to write that. Think of us next week in Cancun! I will post some pics from the wedding festivities when we get back.

Weekend wrap up:
On Friday night we went to the Tuscan Oven with Matt, Elizabeth and Tara. I love that place, the fried mozzarella is to die for. After that we went to see Don't Mess with the Zohan. Hmm. interesting movie that I covered my eyes for a few times. Don't waste your money, rent it if you seriously want to see it. I must say, not one of Adam's best.

Then Saturday I got my hair highlighted so it would look good for the wedding. My mom and I ate at Chilis before shopping at Target for some last minute wedding items.

Sunday we celebrated Father's day since I will be out of town next week. We went to church with dad and took him to lunch at good ole Texas Roadhouse.

I eat out alot.

Well until next time,

xo,
krista

Here comes the bride...

So on Saturday Tara took my bridal photos, they are AMAZING. It was so hard to pick one that I wanted her to frame for the wedding. My mom and Elizabeth came to "assist" they were great!
After that my parents, Brandon's parents, me and b all went to look at the new house being built! It's all coming together, they are finishing up the framing and roof. So exciting! After that we went out of eat at Texas Roadhouse... sooo good. Every time we go there it makes me want a moose above my fireplace!! ( we don't even have a fireplace)

It looks like we can't stay in the camper before the house is built. Brandon has asthma and there is a chemical inside the camper that makes it worse... don't want my baby getting sick!

The wedding is next Saturday, which is insane to me. I want it to come so fast! I can't wait. It seems like these last few weeks have been dragging! I just cant wait until we don't have to leave each other every nite, and I don't have to drive 30-45 minutes to see him. We will have our space, our time, our decisions. ahhhh... can't wait.

Things are coming together... yay! Can't wait for that honeymoon in Cancun, we're gonna have a blast!

until next time,

krista

Weddingdaze!

So the thought on the forefront of my mind is our wedding!!! 16 days until, I am beaming. It's so weird though because I've never lived with anyone but my parents and brothers. Brandon and I get to be together alot! I'm just trying to take it all in so that I can remember it 50 years from now!

My bachelorette party/lingerie shower will be the Thursday before the wedding which is fun. I can't wait to open all my fun lingerie!

We are going to Cancun on our honeymoon which is so fun, because I've never been there. We're excited for it just to be us for a whole week.

I've been getting together the finals details of the wedding, and paying the final bills!!

Our slab is being poured today which is extremely exciting, our very own house!

I'm going to try to be better at posting on this thing!

This crazy life of mine...

dude- didn't know there could be soooo many issues with wedding dresses. BUT- i found that out rather quickly! basically i had to choose another dress becuase the first one couldn't come in by June 14 becuase of, get this, the CHINESE NEW YEAR. Apparently, like 80% of dresses are sewn in China. Who knew? Either way, I found a second dress and love it! ( I almost couldn't get this one either) But it's on it's way!

School is insane. I should be studying for a test tonite right now.... but, im not. I cannot wait until Spring Break! My mom is taking me to New York City! Sooo- excited!

I am going to crossroads tonite- see you there!

Neutrogena eye tints...

So- I've found a wonderful product at Target yesterday. It's AMAZING. They are eye tints by Neutrogena, and I used to use a product like this from Clinque but it wasn't as good. It can be used as a base for eye shadow or on it's own. The feeling on your eyes when you use this product is, ahhh. I can't really describe it. You have to get some yourself! It comes in two tints so you can choose.

Act fast! All Neutrogena products are 10% off right now at Target on 9 Mile Road.

LOST, Dnow, and life

Wedding Planning Update- I found my dress!! I have ordered it, and am in the process of ordering invitations and confirming my quote with my florist. I'm falling more in love with Brandon every day. I'd like to keep it a semi surprise so I'm not going to post a picture! If I've already showed you, you're important to me. ;)

LOST Season 4 premiere was last night. Can you say amazing? It's unfortunate that since there was a storm in the Milton area around 7:00 pm, that we missed the 7:00-8:00 recap! Sorry Matt and Elizabeth... Either way it was awesome.

Brittany asked Brandon and I to do a Disciple Now for her dad's church last weekend. I have 7th grade girls and Brandon has 9th grade boys, and one 7th grade boy. It was a good time. I learned some things that even I need to work on. Always learning! The whole theme was stepping out of the boat and trusting Jesus. Easier said than done right?

I had my 22nd birthday last week too. It was great! My parents took me to dinner and gave me some new Vera bags. Brandon took me out to Zea's the next night and we saw a movie with Matt and Elizabeth, Juno. Which I really liked.

I really can't wait till I'm done with school! Pray for me until it's OVER!!

Until next time,
Krista

Wedding Dress Blues

I know that sounds weird- But, I've got em. I can't seem to find one! I thought this task would be much easier. I mean I like this lets buy it! No- girls it's not that easy. I've haven't gone to a lot of stores, but I have looked through the internet. This weekend I'm going to go to two stores and maybe find something! (crossing my fingers) Everyone says I only have until the end of January to order since my wedding is in June. Whatever...

I will keep you posted. ;)
