Man, I gotta get better at this blog thing!

Ola Friends. WOW. So much going on. Let's update, like before glee starts.

What you missed, read fast.

Brandon got a new job as a orthopaedic sales rep, everything was going great, then his boss turned out to be a super crazy person, they told brandon it wasn't working out, gave him a 60 day notice, yest, 60 days. Then a week later they said brandon was doing great, and that it was their management issues! forget about that 60 day thing, even though brandon didn't change a thing. then a few weeks later everything came back crazy again, and brandon decided that doing unethical things, being disrespected constantly, and lied to, wasn't exactly the job he was offered.

therefore, brandon is looking for a new job! :) He has currently signed up to be a substitute in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties, while starting an 11 month program at, Pensacola State College (PJC for your old schoolers), to get his professional teaching certificate. As I've told him a million times, he would be a great teacher and coach!

This is our new nephew! Brandon's sister, Angela and her husband, Derrick had a little boy, Zac!

Tenley this may be TMI, but Tenley had her time in the "heat". OMGSH We were not aware of the situation here, she had to wear a diaper for over a week. She has no tail, therefore, the diaper just slid off her fat booty. So, we were constantly having to pull up the diaper or we would find Tux helping her get it off. ay yi yi. Needless to say, she is getting "Fixed" asap.

This is where Tenley decided to destroy her pillow in her kennel.

Tux is enjoying being a big brother/boyfriend to Tenley. ;)

I (Krista) have still been working at The Andrews Institute as a Surgical Coordinator, learning lots! I recently joined the Choir at Olive, man Leo is intense! You have to go to practice 4 times before you can sing on Sunday! This is a long was from GtR at Immanuel. haha.

I'm excited for college football to start! Can't wait to cheer on my Auburn Tigers, and hope that they beat those Rebels when the time comes. We miss all our friends that moved away! Most recently, Clif and Emily Rateike. Clif is in the Marines, and they just moved to North Carolina. After that they will be going to California love. It's so sad, it seems like everything we get closed with a couple they have to move! :( Boo.

I've recently taken on the challenge to read my Bible in a year, I am so excited. God has been showing me so many things through Genesis. I have decided I want to do this every year. It helps me to recollect things when the time comes. I've also started reading Radical, by David Platt, so awesome I totally recommend!

So I said a little more than the intro to Glee. That's all for now, I'll leave you with a video of our fam!

Friends in town means fun!

Our friends, Ben and Courtney McHone came to see us all the way from Asheville, North Carolina!! Brandon knows Ben from middle school. We were so happy they could come and stay in our guest bedroom we decorated!

When the weather was good we went to the Beach, which was hit and miss because of the rain and the oil...We went to Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach. I am really starting to like Navarre. Here are some pics!

We had to take them to local favorite restaurants to eat and places to go. This was our first time "hosting" full on guests! So give me a break if you think that I should have showed them other things. lol.

One day, Brandon had to go into work :( So we were on our own until about 1:00, so I took Ben and Courtney for lunch to Bass's (Kwik Burger) in Milton. YUMMY! My parents ended up buying our lunch so it worked out perfectly. lol. jk.

We ate at La Hacienda!! Of course, I mean Brandon did have his "Bachelor Party" there. What can I say, he loves the salsa and Chilaquiles! We didn't get pictures there :(

We ate in a couple nights. We went to Music in the Park, now called, Evenings in Old Seville Square, and ate at Tuscan Oven, of course. Gotta get the Mozzarella appetizer.

The last night they were here we decided to go to McGuire's. I had the Mahi which was delicous. I never know what to eat there. I got a kick out of Ben and Courtney freaking out over the menu with all the different burgers etc. We sat in the room with the infamous Moose. We did NOT kiss it. There was some drama with some military guys, but we left before it got to heated, but the manager was called. Here are some pics!

I will update more soon with some Golf and Tux and Tenley pics!

I shot a 127! haha

This past weekend was a blast!! On Friday night, since my dad and brothers were out of town on a Men's Retreat with LTC, my mom had nothing to do. So we invited her over for a lovely dinner of frozen pizza! haha, then we went to go to Iron Man 2. It wasn't as good as Iron Man, but still entertaining. Brandon thought that it was the same story line as Transformers 2, which made perfect sense. (Bad vs. Good, the bad dies, but then comes back to life) lol.

Saturday, Brandon and I went to the Stonebrook driving range to practice up on our golf skills, since we were playing on Sunday. It was pretty hot out there, but I didn't do horrible. Brandon and I did some shopping for his work stuff and then we watched Three Men and a Baby! haha. I had never seen that movie so I put it on our Blockbuster Total Access list, and there is came in the mail. I'm sure Brandon was THRILLED to see that title. But, he was a good sport and watched it with me.

Sunday, we went to Sunday School, (Brandon teaches the 12th Grade and I'm the secretary) and church at Olive. Then rushed to play golf at Marcus Pointe at 1:00. This was my FIRST ever 18 holes of golf experience and I shot a 127, not horrible, I was proud of myself! Plus- we thought it was hot on Saturday, that was NOTHING for Sunday. Then we went home to enjoy the LOST series Finale. I was disappointed to say the least. Parts of it I liked, but I really thought with all the details the series had, that the ending would be more intricate. I knew it wasn't going to be as this final season wrapped up, but nevertheless, it's over. :(

Hope your weekend was as good as mine!

Until next time,

The Henrys!

I'm a horrible blogger...

Ok guys, yes, I'm a horrible blogger, I never have time!!! I should make time... I know.

Things going on Lately-

Brandon got a new job, and has been working hard! He is working as an orthopaedic rep for tools/parts used in surgeries. He gets to go into surgeries and answer any questions that the surgeons have... This week is his 2nd week. I am so happy for him.

Tux and Tenley are getting along great! They just play non stop!

We have some friends from North Carolina coming in town the week after Memorial Day, Brandon and I decorated the guest bedroom in honor of their arrival. (Frankly, we didn't want to spend money on it in the past) It looks great! It's a nautical theme, I will post some pictures soon.

With Brandon's new job, he went to a training/conference in Jacksonville this past weekend, so I was home alone... Friday night I went to the Pace Baseball game to watch the last game at home before they go to STATE!! Next Monday at noon they are playing in Port St. Lucie. Wish them luck! On Saturday, I worked with my dad and brother throwing sod... yay. I did get a delicious lunch out of it from the Shrimp Basket. Saturday night, I got the honor of hanging out with Ms. Leslee Hendrix. We went to Ichiban and shared some yummy sushi and fried rice!!!! Then went to see Letters to Juliet which I really liked. Ashley Jones Thorsen was in town as she went to her brother's college graduation in Auburn, WAR EAGLE. So we met up with her later and talked... good times. Brandon came home on Sunday!!!! We did the normal sunday routine and then watched the SURVIVOR finale at Ted and Sarahs. FUN...

Until later... I will miss you until I return! ha

Long time no talk?

Okay okay, I never post on here. I will get better! We got a new laptop now, as our old one could only hold a charge for a minute. So I will be better!

UPDATES:

Family: Brandon and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in June by spending the day together in Malbis. We went shopping, ate out, and saw a movie. I love being married, and couldn't have asked for a better "match" than Brandon to put up with me and my hair-brained antics. Brandon, Tux, and I spend our time lately watching college football, eating snacks. Brandon is teaching 12 Grade Sunday School now, which is exciting. I get to cook breakfast goodies for them every 3rd Sunday. Tux is growing so big! He is about 50 lbs now. We are thinking about getting him a little brother or sister in the future.... Brandon wants another boxer, but we will see. Brandon and I went on vacay with the Ringls the last week in September. We had a great time in Orlando! We went to Sea World, Aquatica, Islands of Adventure and Universal studios. We also spent some well deserved relaxing time by the pool and in the hot tubs! We went to Brandon's parents Halloween party last night, and found out that Brandon's big sister, Angela, is preggos! She is in her 14th week and so I have added her to my prayer list. My brother, Matt, is building his first house, and is ecstatic! I cannot wait to see the finished product. Brandon and I went over there last week to help him clean up before an inspection, which he passed!

Work: Brandon is still working at NWFHG, he likes it but is praying for a change in his life to do something more related to his degree. I started a new job in June at the Andrews Institute. YES! Still having to drive to Gulf Breeze everyday. But, I enjoy it. My title is Medical Assistant (Clerical) / Scheduler and I mainly work for Dr. Paulos, on Thursdays, Dr. Andrews. Dr. Paulos is a knee and shoulder specialist if you are interested, let me know I will get you in! I am trying to get Brandon a job there in research, which is right up his alley! Please pray!

Sports: I still love Auburn football, and yes we stink. But we have tickets for the game next week and I can only hope that we beat Ole Miss so that Brandon won't rub it in on the 3.5 hour ride home!

Etc: Our house is coming along, we need visitors in our guest bedroom! We have added our touches over the last year and are just so proud. I am growing my hair out! YAY.

I will try to update more often!!!

MISS ALL OF YOU WHO ARE FAR AWAY NOW! :(

Easter! and Tux...

Our lives have been consumed with Tux lately, since he doesn't have all his shots, he can't really go anywhere... he is so cute!

Tux playing...

Tux lounging in his backyard...

Tux snoozing next to daddy...

Tux wearing our stuffed Boxer's, Slugger, hat!

Also, this was our first Easter married, so we decided to take a family photo! My mom was supposed to take these, but she forgot her camera. Therefore, this was taken on my camera with a timer, and we have a cool timer that will take 3 pics in a row. I thought it would be funnier to show you ALL the pics...

Happy Easter!

Grandpa...

If you know me very well you know that I listen to music constantly. I was listening to my Judds CD this morning and this song came on. A classic, but I really got to thinking how true it is today.

Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like this worlds gone crazy
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy

Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other, come what may
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away
Woah oh, grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days

Grandpa, everything is changing fast
We call it progress, but I just don't know
And grandpa, Let's wander back into the past
And paint me the picture of long ago

Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other come what may
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say and then forget
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away
Woah oh, grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Woah oh, grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days

Mhmm, mhmm, mhmmm, mhmm, mhmm,
mhmm mhmm

Mhmm, mhmm, mhmmm, mhmm, mhmm,
mhmm mhmm

Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
